Wow, that last sentence your son said to you brought tears to my eyes. Amazing insight your little boy has. I could help thinking my son is a lot like your son too. He is inly 4.5, but he tries to assert his independence now and I too just want to hold on to every little second of him.. I can so see my son at 8 wanting to do those same things and I can honestly say, I will feel the same way you described. I love this blog and just found it.. I will be a regular. Great writing styles!
